Bootstrapping without Investors (and other open source topics)

It will come as no surprise that the favorite OTBC topics at the Open Source Bridge conference in Portland this summer are in the Business track.  (The “B” in OTBC is for business, after all!)  And if you’re interested in bootstrapping, that’s also the track for you.

In the recent survey OTBC published to gage interest in potential event topics, growing a company without angel or venture capital funding was one of the highest (almost “the” highest) topic in the ratings. At least two sessions at osbridge will address exactly that issue:

Both sessions will offer lessons from the real world in bootstrapping.

I also look forward to hearing Deb Bryant talk about how to win fame and fortune (or at least make a living) doing open source business with the government .  Surprised to hear that The Government knows how to spell “open source”?  Attend Deb’s session and find out more!

So if you’re looking for ideas on how to bootstrap, without angel or VC investment, or you’d like to hear how to get back some of those tax dollars you pay by doing open source work for the Government, check out the Open Source Bridge.  And of course, there’s lots more happening than just the business track.  Find out more at the Open Source Bridge website .  I hope to see you there June 17-19!
